Re: UV Apartments
I've lived there for 6 months. I would say that it would be the second best option for people who needs a room for themselves without sharing. The first option would be the Tobin House I would say.
Benefits
- single room
- good place for studying (basement)
- pool table at AUD 2/game
- table tennis room
- dryer
Disadvantages
- smaller than other apartments that i've known
- washing machine in the basement
- lower security compared to Adelaide Towers Apartment

Re: UV Apartments
what we usually do is stay at the shopping malls or something during summer.. anywhere would be like an oven during the summer anyway.. one thing that you have to know for UV apartments, there is actually a switch on the fan itself that will let you adjust the fan to blow the wind upwards or downwards. During summer, blow the wind downwards and during winter, blow the wind upwards.
*one good advice is : make sure you clean your fan before you do that otherwise you will actually have all the dust flying around your room

Re: UV Apartments
Another advantage is that.
There are cleaners to clean your place every 2 weeks!
And, if you're really good with them (socially), they'll help you vacuum your room too!! Lolz. That's what Shern and me done.. ^ ^

Re: UV Apartments
you can actually check on the website above because sometimes the prices do change. electricity is about A$30/month per person and water is free

Re: UV Apartments
i can agree with the utilities cost above
not too sure with the gas charges because some accommodations like mine don't use gas

Re: UV Apartments
I heard from a friend saying that some apartments do not provide rice cooker so she uses microwave to cook even for rice. Does UV provide a rice cooker?
