Malaysian Carnival 2010
Hey Malaysians!
MASCA SA is proud to announce the arrival of the biggest event by MASCA SA along with associated clubs such as UCSA, MYSA, MYPSA and Flinders University MSA; Malaysian Carnival ’10!
Date: September 12, Sunday
Time: 10:00am - 4:00pm
Venue: Victoria Square, Adelaide (can go by tram)
For those of you fortunate enough to have attended the Malaysian Carnival ’08, expect a bigger and better carnival than ever before! For those of you who have not heard of this event, Malaysian Carnival is a celebration of the multiracial culture of ...Malaysia and who better to present this to the people of Adelaide than Malaysians?
Still not excited? How about if we say that we are offering you the chance of a lifetime to sit in on not one, but three cooking demonstrations from the one and only Poh Ling Yeow (Runner up of Masterchef 2009) who will be showing us how to cook the food that Malaysia is so famous for!
These are a few ways you can contribute:
Volunteers
We are calling all volunteers to help us make this an event to be remembered. Come and get involved. If you are interested, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Food Stall
Malaysian Carnival ’10 will have 12 food stalls available for students and non-students. For those interested in opening a food stall during this prestigious event, a form will be attached to this email with all the necessary details. Don’t miss this opportunity! We will be expecting 6000-7000 people attending this event so there won’t be any shortage of customers for certain!
Performance
Malaysian Carnival ’10 will also have various performances to portray the multicultural background of Malaysia. This is a chance for students to be involved in Malaysia Carnival ’10. Come help us make this carnival one to remember! Make Malaysia proud by performing our historic dances and other performances such as dikirbarat. It will surely be an experience of a lifetime! Who better to show the people of Adelaide the beauty of Malaysia than the people of Malaysia right?
So look forward to a fun day on the 12th of September starting from 10 am, and come help us make it a success!
